The concept of chairs that recline has been around for decades, and it is from this concept that dual reclining loveseats came into reality. While the recliner became one of the most well-loved chairs, especially by men, it seemed to be missing something all through the years. This "something" was an extra place for the little woman of the house to sit and recline once her domestic duties had been completed.
Accentuating the changes in color are differences in the fabrics used to create loveseats. Traditional fabrics like leather and suede are still being used, but with a twist. Manufacturers are experimenting with dying leather the colors mentioned above, and tinkering with faux leather alternatives. Suede is also increasingly taking a backseat to microfiber fabrics. Microfibers vary in quality, but good examples can mimic the texture of suede while being significantly easier to clean. Some designers are even experimenting with combining fabrics, using multiple materials on one loveseat to create a patch-work look.
